The Social Media @ Law Mission Statement

As new media pushes society in new and sometimes startling directions society is pushing back in the form or laws, rules, and regulations. Social Media @ Law exists to make sense of all of that noise and provide it to you in an easy to understand and actionable way. Whether it’s how to take advantage of the latest social media trends to grow your brand or what effect new legislation will have on your ability to express yourself, Social Media @ Law will be there to break it down.

The goal of SM@L is to provide policy makers, aspiring policy makers, and the public with important information for how new media can be and is being used to effect all of our lives.

Why Listen to Me?

I started working in the social media space in 2009 when there was barely any social media @ all. I have watched it grow and been a leader in the field working on races from the local level all the way up to Presidential primaries. At the same time I have been practicing law for a decade and I study how new regulations are being shaped by and in turn shaping the digital world.

There is no one better equipped to explain where the two worlds; social media and the law, meet than me.
